Florida man ends Margaritaville journey in Mississippi
BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - For the past year, Mike Minor has had one mission, and one mission only. To visit every Margaritaville in the world. "It's been great. There's no downside to hopping around the world drinking margaritas first off. It's just been a lot of fun and I've met a lot of really cool people," Minor said. What started out as a bet between Minor and a friend turned into a mission to boldly go where no man has gone before. He conquered each of the business's locations, with a margarita in hand at each stop. "Because my wife is a flight attendant for US Airways I'm able to fly for free. He was joking with me and said theoretically you could go to each one of them. I said I just might do that. Then it sort of became a bet, he said I bet you can't do that. I bet you a grand you can't do that in a year. I said okay it's on," Minor said. Minor got his grand, and a once in a lifetime experience to go with it.The journey even got the attention of Biloxi Margaritaville General Manager Karen Sock. Sock told Minor she's delighted that he chose Margaritaville Biloxi as your last stop. She also presented him with a gift basic on behalf of the franchise. "It was a huge adventure. We've never done anything like this before. It was cool to watch him. Sometimes I was so tired I couldn't even talk about this anymore. I said oh my God you don't stop. It was really cool, really nice. I've been to some beautiful places," wife, Pabiana said. "Orlando is pretty close to us. We live in St. Augustine Florida so it's close. We'll be going down there and as they open up new ones I plan on hitting all of those up as well," Minor said.
